Our Story
Stonyrun Farms is rich in history with the 4th and 5th generations of the family now running the business. Stonyrun Farms got its start in 1904 and is based in Northern Chester County in southeast Pennsylvania.
Loren Ruth, and his son, Mitchell Ruth, are the owners and operators of Stonyrun Farms. They run all farming operations with the assistance of Loren's two daughters (Kelsey & Lindsay) and father (Vernon Ruth).
The Ruth family has had a long dairy farming history before transitioning to Wagyu in 2008.
In 2008, the 1st Wagyu were purchased and brought to Stonyrun Farms. Since that time the farm has grown to encompass three separate methods for raising Wagyu beef. The 1st is 100% Fullblood Wagyu, the 2nd is Purebred Wagyu, and the 3rd is Crossbred Wagyu. With these three labels we hope to bring the spectacular eating experience of Wagyu to all consumer levels!
