Stoney Lonesome Farm

Our Story

Stoney Lonesome LLC, also known as Stoney Lonesome Farm, was founded in 2016 on a 130 acre farm that was deeded in 1877. The farm had been dormant since about 1990, but when it was purchased by our family in 2016, we brought it back to life. The farm is owned and operated by Justin Main and his wife Jordyn. Justin is a 5th generation farmer. They started out raising a few custom hogs per year and then got involved in pasture raised poultry. Growth throughout the years resulted in the production of upwards of 20 hogs per year, 400 pasture raised chickens, a few head of steer, some grain crops for feed, and 20 acres of hay. Our focus has always been on quality over quantity. In December of 2022 we opened up our brick and mortar store at the farm. We also offer sales of our products through our online store or by appointment. Both Justin and Jordyn work full time jobs off-farm, with the long term goal of building a full time operation with Stoney Lonesome. Our drive has always been rooted in rekindling the relationships between the consumers who eat the food, and the farmers who produce it. Putting the "culture" back in agriculture and emphasizing the importance of community in food is where we find out happy place. We have always sourced-in and sourced-out with other Pennsylvania agribusinesses, and strive to find sustainability in farming.
