Our Story

Blue Barn Farm is a Pick-Your-Own (PYO) farm for blueberries, black raspberries and blackberries. We also have On-Farm Sales of the best sweet corn and a great variety of fresh vegetables including lettuces and greens! We welcome all ages to come, enjoy our peaceful rural setting and pick our nutritious berries! Stop in our farm market and you'll find more products that will keep you eating healthily! Sweet corn is available beginning early to mid-July and fresh vegetables are available throughout the season. Find us at Hollidaysburg Farmers Market on Tuesdays 11-2, the Downtown Altoona Farmers Market on Thursdays 9-2 or every day 9-7 at our self-serve on-farm market. Our growing methods focus on sustainability. We use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) which focuses on comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, AND with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment. We aim to grow a healthy crop with minimal disruption to agro-ecosystems. Please keep tabs on us as we expand our selection of PYO Fruits & Vegetables. We plan to have PYO strawberries available in the future.
