Our Story

Hi Folks! We are Jamie and Philip Kouba of BBK Farms. This year we decided to move back to Jamie's home town and start a beef operation on her parent's farm. Jamie's Dad, Gary Baity is a fifth generation dairy farmer and we wanted to pick up the mantle before he retires. Our 250 acre farm has been in the family for almost 200 hundred years and we want to see it live on through us. BBK gets it's name from Barnes, Baity, and Kouba. Barnes is Jamie's mother's maiden name. Grammy and Poppop Barnes raised their family with the love of animals, an appreciation for nature, and a great passion for cooking! Baity is the name of Jamie's Dad's family. Grandma and Grandpa Baity raised their family, the same way that they were raised; faith, family, and farming. The name Kouba, of course, comes from Philip's family. Philip was born a city slicker, but we won't hold it against him. The Kouba's raised Philip with a love of animals, music, and an appreciation for all things adventure. These three families were the inspiration for BBK, and for how we live our lives. BBK sits in the heart of Tioga County, Pa. Philip and Jamie intend on raising Pa Preferred Beef cattle for generations to come. From our farm, to your table, Welcome to the Family.
