Our Story

Little Hoot Farm a lifetime in the making. I spent 3 years as a farm hand in beautiful Lower Bucks county in the late 70's. Picking and planting just about everything kind of veggie available in Pa at Lange's Farm. I was hooked on farming long before that when my mother decided to pay me a penny for each stone I removed from our backyard garden, I believe she had to work some overtime at the steel mill to pay off her debt to her son. I Sold Burpee seeds door to door as a kid. Each spring I just couldn't wait to turn over the soil by shovel and plant those Burpee seeds. At 18 I went in the Navy and spent the next 24 years seeing and traveling the world, during that time I served 3 years north of chicago what Great soil they have out there. I tilled gardens for folks on the side lifting a small honda tiller in and out of my car trunk. Everyone had gardens out there. 2002 I Started Navy Lawn & Garden Care, Inc, now in business 21 years. 2018 with the help of my sister Dianne we purchased 11 acres here in Bucks County. We call it "Little Hoot Farm" inspired by one of her grandchildren. Our family spent 2019 building the most bueatiful Monitor style barn from tree's we harvested locally & milled locally. Old school Mortise & Tenon. 100'x44' a Jewel! We now have a small roadside stand that we sell Flowers, birdhouses, firewood, pumpkins & a few B&B Christmas trees. We encourage public interaction with our three cows. At 62 years old I still get to play in the dirt it.
